The deafening silence

If you are a certain type of organized supporter of Barack Obama, you much prefer to interdict speech than to engage it in the marketplace of ideas.

Amazing how the transparent, tolerant, inclusive, engaging, diplomatic and tactful Obama campaign is always out shutting down free speech with which he disagrees.

How will this practice morph if he becomes president?

Even the authoritarian Christo-fascist George Bush never did this.

I am appalled at the behavior of the Obama supporters for this and other examples of trampling on freedom of speech of others to defend their goals.

I believe this is is directly related to the methods by which Obama campaigns. He gives them no solid substance to build an ideology on, instead they are left to build that ideology themselves and they are incapable of doing so. Their lack of understanding of politics and how to support a campaign leaves them no alternative but to revert to childish practices which reveal their true nature. They have received no substance, no position, no long term plan from their messiah. The truest depiction of his empty words plays itself out in their actions.

It seems the marketplace of ideas is exactly what the Obama supporters are engaging in. By calling/writing by the thousands, they are voicing their opposition to the ideas on the radio. This seems like a fun strategy to get people involved.
